Luottokunta, which employs 500 staff, manages Visa and MasterCard payments on behalf of banks and merchants with a total turnover of EUR 17.7 billion in 2009

As part of the contract with Logica, 16 payment specialists working currently in Luottokunta will transfer to Logica in October 2010.

Heikki Kapanen, CEO of Luottokunta, says: "By purchasing IT operating and infrastructure services from Logica, the amount of expertise and resources available to us will grow substantially without significant investments. We can stay focused on building and expanding our core competency and competitive positioning within the ever evolving card payment services market."

In September last year, Luottokunta inked a five year application outsourcing contract with Accenture.
