What top tips can you offer candidates looking to join the industry?

The fast pace of the finance sector internationally makes it an excellent opportunity for career growth, Lee tells us. Candidates should be ready to take advantage of the dynamic nature of the industry.

“Our chief product officer, Amy Carmichael, joined the team at Crowdcube as a senior product manager. As there was no head of product at the time, she knew that there was a possibility she would be able to quickly rise up the ranks. Our CEO, Darren Westlake, saw her vision, and promoted her to the role of VP of product. Not long after, Amy was asked to join senior management as CPO, where she has established herself as a leader and has hired eight new people for her team in the last year alone.”
