The partnership aims to educate and empower the next generation of developers, fostering their ability to build on the upcoming XRP Ledger’s (XRPL) integration with EVM programmability. The XRPL is a decentralized, layer 1 blockchain known for its reliability and stability, proven over a decade and trusted globally by businesses and developers. Together, EasyA and Ripple are committed to advancing the adoption of various innovations, with a specific focus on expanding the programmability of the XRPL.

EasyA is renowned for its Web3 learning platform, with its huge community of over 750,000 developers, founders and visionaries, and deep partnerships with over 300 of the world’s best university blockchain clubs (from Harvard to MIT to Cambridge and beyond). Founders from EasyA have been funded by top venture capital firms like a16z, and accelerators like the prestigious Y Combinator. By launching 7 new learning challenges on the EasyA app featuring the XRPL’s integration of EVM programmability, the community will gain access to this massive pool of talent, and show them the opportunities unlocked by this groundbreaking technology.

This new learning campaign with EasyA is being launched under the hashtag #60DaysOfXRPL, and will build up to a flagship EasyA x XRP Ledger in-person hackathon in April 2024. This hackathon will invite the top developers from the #60DaysOfXRPL learning challenges to pitch their startups in London to win $25,000 in prize money. On top of this prize pool, top builders will gain access to additional funding, mentorship and grant opportunities within the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

Phil Kwok, Co-Founder of EasyA, said: “Launching educational courses on the upcoming integration of EVM programmability into the XRPL through the EasyA app is a very special moment. Not only will the EasyA community be able to learn about the XRPL in bite-sized, mobile-first modules, but they will also have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and get funded at our EasyA x XRP Ledger hackathon in April. Some of Web3’s hottest new startups have come out of EasyA hackathons, and this is the chance to get the next one built on the XRPL’s integration with EVM.”

Markus Infanger, SVP of RippleX, said: “XRPL’s integration with EVM is a major step forward to bring in a fresh cohort of developers. Our partnership with EasyA taps into their strong crypto community, helping us bring another informative resource for developers globally to learn and build on the XRPL. We are excited to see the emergence of the next major DeFi project on the XRPL.”

Ripple and its partner Peersyst have developed an EVM sidechain to bring smart-contract programmability to the XRPL. This addition complements XRPL’s existing advanced features, including a native DEX. The XRPL has made significant inroads in bringing the benefits of blockchain to the world by offering capabilities around tokenization, settlement, and liquidity to enable a broad array of decentralized app use cases.

Developers excited about being some of the first people to deploy on the XRPL’s integrations with EVM can do so end-to-end, all from their phone via the EasyA app. To sign up visit the EasyA app, which is available for download on iOS and Android.
