Gilles BianRosa has held the position of Chief Product Officer at N26 since 2021, and will transition to his new board role in the month of September. He will also step away from his duties on the company’s executive leadership team to take a new role as Chief Operating Officer at a US-based company.

Since joining N26, Gilles has built a strong and high-performing Product and UX team of over 100 employees, working closely with close to 700 engineers and developers in the digital bank’s technology division. Together, they launched numerous important products from N26 Crypto, to interest-bearing Savings, to local products like Bizum in Spain, iDEAL in the Netherlands and local French IBANs, and implemented elements to improve the scalability of the N26 platform with automation, intelligent KYC and AML solutions and data-based fraud prevention models. He has also developed a long-term view of the digital bank’s product strategy and roadmap that will be executed over the coming years.

Gilles BianRosa, Chief Product Officer: “Having spent the last 2.5 years leading our product and innovation efforts at N26, I am more confident than ever that N26 is in a position to lead change in the banking industry. I look forward to the opportunity to bring the company towards this goal in a different capacity as a member of the Supervisory Board.”

Marcus W. Mosen, Chair of the Supervisory Board: “Gilles will join a bench of tenured experts in banking and finance on N26’s Supervisory Board, bringing a perspective focused on product innovation from a global lens as the company looks towards its next phase of strategic platform development.”

Valentin Stalf, CEO: “Though he will leave his operational role at N26, we are happy that Gilles will continue to remain very closely connected to us. As a member of our Supervisory Board, he will continue to play a role in steering N26’s product-led culture.”

Gilles will hand over his responsibilities leading N26’s product team to the experienced leaders within his function until a permanent successor is appointed.
