Bottomline Technologies names Ed Adshead-Grant director, payments, Emea

Adshead-Grant, a 20-year veteran in the cards and payments industry, joins Bottomline at a time of high activity in the market. “There has been more change to the payment industry in the last five years than the previous fifty” comments Adshead-Grant, “The opportunity to drive more efficiency, remove legacy practices, and add insight into the typical payment operation is clear. Bottomline is well positioned in the market with its leadership within Automated Clearing Houses (ACH) such as BACS, and in the digital banking and Financial Messaging sectors. Adshead-Grant joins most recently from Hewlett-Packard where he renewed the go-to-market strategy and established a Cards & Payments Practice across EMEA. He previously worked at First Data Corporation, Pepper Consultants, and PwC in a range of sales, product, client management, finance, and strategy roles across a number of countries. One of his known specialisms in the payments world is in the creation of innovative outsourcing models to optimise the long term value of SaaS processing contracts with customers. He holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and an MA from the University of St Andrews and the University of Western Ontario.
