State Street has appointed Joseph Antonellis to succeed John Fiore as chief information officer and head of its information technology group.
Antonellis is currently company executive vice president and head of State Street's strategy development office. He has also held senior positions within the company's global financial technology services, and US master trust and public fund business.
In his new role, Antonellis will be responsible for the management, development and implementation of the global technology strategy for State Street. He will also head up the information technology group, which is responsible for the development and implementation of global architecture in support of large-scale transaction processing and product capabilities for State Street's clients worldwide.
No reason was given for Fiore's departure, which follows a successful ten-year tenure as State Street CIO.
