Citibank has begun the deployment of India-based i-flex Solutions' Flexcube enterprise banking solution for its global corporate banking businesses in 100 countries worldwide.
Citibank is using Flexcube in an upgrade of its back-office corporate banking infrastructure which is expected to provide a single standard interface to users.
Bob Druskin, chief operations and technology officer at Citigroup, says: "The use of Flexcubbe will allow us to gain efficiencies by standardising our operating environment."
Implementation of the system has so far been completed in 11 countries - Finland, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Luxembourg, UK, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, Korea and Malaysia.
Other Flexcube customers include UBS Warburg in Europe, Shinsei Bank in Japan and DBS Bank in Singapore.
