The deal will see Infosys implement version 10 of Finacle universal banking across multiple countries in parallel. The implementation will cover core banking, CRM, e-banking, mobile, and alerts solutions.

Infosys says it was chosen by the bank after an evaluation process to find a platform that could provide scalability, faster innovation and time-to-market for business-related changes.

Mike Wood, CIO, Raiffeisen International, says: "Finacle will enable us to standardise our multi-country operations through a single platform and uniform processes to grow our business and provide world class products and services to our customers."

In November, the bank announced plans to outsource development and support of its core banking technology to Misys and Indian outsourcer HCL Technology. Wood says the bank will continue to use its existing Midas Plus installation to process its wholesale banking business, but that the Finacle system would be more suited to its emerging retail business.
