The technology will replace the bank's legacy systems and will support banking and treasury operations across the branches.

George Dayantis, general manager, operations and IT, Aspis Bank, says the Financle implementation is a central part of the bank's technology transformation initiative: "By migrating from our current legacy systems to Finacle, it will provide our bank tremendous business agility and time-to-market advantage."

Infosys says the deal is a significant breakthrough into CEE and Balkans market. Europe is a key focus and investments have been made in aligning products to the needs of the market.

The vendor said in September last year that it was investing an additional $10 million in its Finacle product and expanding its staff in both Europe and Asia Pacific to drive sales of the system.
