The bank will install a customised version of the product which has been enabled for Islamic banking practices.

Said Sa'ad Al-Martan, chief executive, Shamil Bank, says: "Flexcube will offer us a single customer view, provide automation across multiple delivery channels and enable us to sell products like life insurance, bonds, credit cards, and so on."

The contract was secured by i-flex's local partner in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Almoayyed Computers and is the vendor's first in the Islamic banking market.
