The bank is using the MindAlign system to integrate and manage time-sensitive information and communications for employees in more than 50 countries. The product enables the bank to coordinate group and individual communications and provide access to its research to users across multiple continents.

Mike Rees, CEO of wholesale banking, Standard Chartered Bank, comments: "In just over a week we installed MindAlign and rolled it out to over 700 users in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.

"Within two weeks the solution paid for itself on the profit of a single trade as traders from different continents were able to communicate and coordinate activities using persistent group discussions matching the banks market making activities."

Since its initial deployment, the MindAlign appliation has been expanded to more than 2000 active desktops worldwide.

The product replaces the bank's previous presence and messaging systems, including the Jabber application.
