Groot rejoins Asset Control as VP of product strategy

Asset Control, the leading provider of financial data management solutions and services, announces the appointment of industry luminary and published author Martijn Groot as VP of Product Strategy.

Groot, who re-joined Asset Control on 1st April, will oversee Product Management, steering the company’s strategy for innovation and directing product investment and communications. Groot has unrivalled experience in the financial data and risk data markets, as well as extensive knowledge of Asset Control’s customers, having previously held roles within Market Strategy and Business Development there.

In his most recent role as Director, Product Management Information Services at Euroclear SA/NV, Martijn focused on initiatives in the distribution of data, including liquidity, tax and referential information, and setting up a Central Data Utility to provide data management services to financial Back and Middle Offices.

He has also been involved in industry publications in recent years, including editing and contributing to the Handbook of Financial Data and Risk Information in 2014, and authoring his own work ‘Managing Financial Information in the Trade Lifecycle: A concise atlas of financial instruments and processes in the Elsevier World Capital Markets Series’ in 2008.

Commenting on his appointment, Groot said:
